Eagle Vision Mulching

Eagle Vision Mulching Inc., based in Big River, Saskatchewan, was established in 2006 to engage in the business of mulching in northern Saskatchewan and northern Alberta.

The First Nations and Métis Fund saw the potential in Eagle Vision to be a highly successful and profitable venture and is providing up to $1.5 million in risk capital to help get the new enterprise off the ground.

Mulching is a common technique used in the clearing of pathways through areas of brush and trees for a variety of different uses, including oil and gas exploration and development, seismic exploration, and road construction. This type of clearing is desirable because it is less damaging to the environment than traditional bulldozer and chainsaw operations. This is beneficial not only to the recovery of the disturbed sites but saves the industry money on reclamation.

Eagle Vision is providing employment and training for a number of people, including First Nations and Métis people in Saskatchewan. They are committed to employing people local to the area in which they are working. The company has strong First Nation and Métis ties, as Bev Dziurizynski is a member of the Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation.

Eagle Vision Mulching Inc. is a First Nations & Métis Fund success story.
